10.09.03 - Final grades for Section V are posted. There were several good RFP's last class. You have learned a bit about what RFP's look like and there structure - use it when you get to the job market.
10.07.03b - Quiz grades are posted. The only grades left are RFP #3 and my grade rounding. Like Section K the grading weights are 30% for quizzes and 70% for RFP's.
10.07.03a - Final grades for Section K are posted. One last note for everyone in the Section K class - "I wish for you and yours tenfold what you wish for me and mine."
10.05.05 - Quiz grades are posted. Monday class will start at 4:00pm with presentations of RFP #3. 9.29.03 - Several grades were improperly calculated. These errors have been corrected, but you should check your grade and be sure all the errors have been corrected. Sorry about the mix up. 9.28.03 - Since there will not be a final project in this course, the grading criteria will be adjusted to reflect the main efforts in the course - RFPs. The quizzes will still stay, but continue with the different weighting factor. The new structure is uploaded for your review. 9.26.03 - Grades for RFP's 1 and 2 are posted. There will be a short quiz in Week #12 that will cover various concepts we have learn while preparing our RFP's. This should be about 15 to 20 short discussion questions. RFP 3 is still due in Week 13 with presentations. 9.2.03 - Wednesday night class will be expect to make presentations on 9.3.03 in Week #8. Due to my computer being broken you have had an extra week to prepare. The presentations had better be good. Also, whoever breaks my computer during the presentation gets an automatic zero. 7.21.03 - Read Chapters 1, 2, 4 and Appendix E for Week #2 and #3. We will be discussing all these items in class in preparation for our first assignment. Keep checking the website for further information on all assignments until you are told the syllabus has been updated completely. The general RFP structure to be used throughout this term is linked on the MGMT408 home page. 7.14.03 - This term will have two sections of MGMT 408 - K and V. Both section will use this area of my website to get the assignments for each week. Since we only meet once a week for 3 hours, you will need to check the website for any changes in lab assignments or class tutorials. Welcome back to the Summer term. I look forward to a good term with a new and challenging curriculum for this course.
10.07.03 - The second quiz has been moved to Thursday of Week #13. Also, there is a write-up on the Project which describes the project based on the Student Registration segment of my website. We can discuss this further on Thursday of Week #13.
9.29.03 - The final grading for Labs #1 thru #6 are completed. What you see is it. On Tuesday of Week #12 we will be starting the delete portion of the Parts inventory demo, and Thursday we will look at the administration portion of the Parts system - the password protected portion. Also, on both Tuesday and Thursday the final project will be discussed. Lab #7 is assigned and due on Friday of Week #12. Lab #8 is assigned and due on Wednesday of Week #13. There will be a quiz (#2) on Tuesday of Week #13. 9.28.03 - Be in class on Tuesday of Week #12 for a discussion of the final project in this course. It will be based off the labs, but there will be specifications for the look and performance of the project. The project will be approached as though you were fulfilling a corporate project with rigid specs. After the project has been discussed in class, it will placed on the web for reference - but not until then. 9.26.03 - Remember you have until Monday at noon to correct any problems with labs 1 thru 6. If you received a zero on any of these labs, I will re-grade. Maximum grade will not be 100 since there were students who completed the work on time, and should not be penalized for the extra time others get. So your max grade will be no more that 70 - still better than a zero! We will be moving ahead in Week 12 regardless of where you are in your labs. 9.24.03 - Lab grades are posted thru Lab #6. In-class lab grades are posted thru In-class Lab #3. 9.19.03 - Quiz grades are posted. Stay tuned for Lab #7 assignment. Also, remember that in-class Lab #3(?) was to post the Part Modify exercise that we were covering in class. This is due at the end of Week #10 - today. This was announced in class - this is just a reminder. 9.2.03 - Lab #6 is posted. The Due date is Thursday of Week #8. 8.21.03 - Lab Assignments #3, #4 and #5 are posted. Lab #3 due Tuesday of Week #7 Lab #4 due Thursday of Week #7 Lab #5 due Tuesday of Week #8 8.12.03 - Lab Assignments #1 and #2 are posted. Both need to be posted on your website by Tuesday of Week 6. There will be a quiz on Thursday - Week 5 - covering the material discussed and demonstrated in class through Tuesday of Week 5. Be prepared to code ASP pages, Forms w/ validation, object creation etc. 7.21.03 - Review your CIS365 knowledge in preparation for your first lab assignments - both in-class and regular labs. This includes Javascript, CSS, input validation, etc. 7.14.03 - Welcome back. This is the capstone course for the Web Development series - CIS365, CIS375 and CIS410. This term will see some changes in the conduct of this course. We will be following the general outline developed over the last several terms, but there will different class lecture topics and more challenging in-class and lab assignments. Bone up on your Database knowledge, Javascript and review MS FrontPage features. All these will be used in this course, but I will only have a minor review of these topics.
WARNING:I do not tolerate cheating of any form in my class. If I catch it, all students involved will get a grade of zero on their work. The second offense will be reported to your permanent student record - that is the one employers see. Govern your actions accordingly.
